Obsessed With Barbeque is a family business consisting of Ed, his wife Michelle, daughter Lindsey and son-in-law TJ.

Ed has been barbecuing as long as he can remember. When he was six, he and his dad built a barbecue pit in their backyard and Ed “cooked” steaks for everyone. Ed’s first professional kitchen job was for Mrs Davis at The Hickory Barbecue in Fort Myers Florida. He started there when he was 16 washing dishes in the kitchen and worked his way up to assistant cook.

Of course, we love anything to do with barbeque but our favorite is low and slow on the smoker. We love to explore and expand out horizons so expect everything from traditional barbeque to cooking pistachio encrusted snapper with a jalapeño and key lime beurre blanc. Yummy!

Our personal favorite is pulled pork. This is bone in pork shoulder covered in our special dry rub. It’s slow cooked for hours until it’s at an internal temperature of 194 degrees. Ribs are a close second. Again these are dusted with our rib rub which has a little less pepper and more sugar. They are finished with a glaze of honey butter and brown sugar and served with our own BBQ sauce.

We also do a grilled chicken wing. This is dusted with our rub and grilled on a special rack. This keeps them really juicy and everyone loves them. On the wild side, we also do a pulled pork parfait which is served in a clear glass so you can see the layering. It is a layer of baked beans then barbeque sauce, pulled pork and then cole slaw with our homemade dressing topped with a jalapeño slice.

We make several BBQ Sauces from the basic one including a sweet one and a chipotle. This is made from scratch with our homemade catsup as the base. We also have a North Carolina Vinegar sauce. The rub is also homemade from over nine herbs and spices. The OWB rub is currently being used as an all purpose seasoning for a couple of local restaurants and will soon be available on this website!
